Maa Gangadai Government College Bastar C.G. has come into the existence in the year 2022 on August 23rd, with the aim to cater the needs of rural students. It is affiliated to Shaheed Mahendra Karma Vishwavidyalaya, Bastar. The college offers UG courses in Arts, Science and Commerce. At present college is functioning at community hall . Students are heterogeneous from, rural, semiurban and urban background. Admissions are according to government rules and reservation policies on the basis of merit list. Believing in the Rigvedic hymn “Aroh Tamso Jyoti” (May we rise from darkness to light, ignorance to knowledge) college faculty is committed to reshape the future of students through the holistic skill development. From a mere handful of students in the establishment year the college has grown enormously both in terms of student strength as well as their representation in various university programmes.
